Four years in art school gave me a love of colour, texture, and clean, considered lines.
Seven years in the military gave me an eye for the smallest detail and a heart for the things that matter: friends, lovers, loyalty. As an officer and junior pilot I learned to lead, to plan, to swallow my fear, to persevere.
Decades in and on the sea taught me to notice the tiny joys in life. Light on glassy water, white birds and salt-caked cliffs, the crinkle beside a smiling stranger’s eye.
Originally from the windy south coast of England, I work as a freelance photographer worldwide, on land and in the sea.

Hire me and my cameras to document your things, events, people: talk to me here. Mostly I reply from Eastern time zones.
